Bummer Day
By bbrown | May 28, 2003
Today was not all it was cracked up to be. Unfortunately, the ultrasound technician said that 17 weeks was too early to tell the gender and that the doctor shouldn’t have told us to get an appointment this early. Naturally, the doctor said that she had never complained about 17 weekers before.
We got some ultrasounds (one of which is below and shows our baby’s skull—it says “face” in the legend, but it’s really only the face of Skeletor) and got the results of Sandi‘s blood tests. She’s not got syphillis, gonorrhea, or HIV and the Down’s Syndrome risk is at 1 in 2400 (three times lower than normal!).

I’ll let Sandi fill in the rest.
