Things are Shaping Up
Wednesday, July 30th, 2003Things are finally shaping up around the Brown Manor. Prior to this picture, the walls were painted a Winnie-the-Pooh gold and bore inscriptions along the roofline from Winnie the Pooh stories. Neither Sandi or I are Pooh-heads, so those were slated for removal as soon as possible.
As you can see, the room is a rather [...]
Dogs are Killing Her
Wednesday, July 30th, 2003To the right is photographic proof that Sandi has entered the third trimester of pregnancy. She’s being a real trooper about all of this, but I don’t know how she’s going to take a month or two of working in such a condition.
Aside from this, she’s gained 5 pounds total during her pregnancy. While that [...]
Babies names and their meanings
Thursday, July 24th, 2003I found my Tuttle Dictionary of First Names book in the loft. It tells you of the origin of names and what they mean. Very exciting! Annie’s name means ‘God has favored me’. This is very true for this little girl who was too small of an egg to have a great [...]
6 Months Today!
Tuesday, July 15th, 2003Sandi’s reached the six-month milestone today! Hooray!
We had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. She’s gained five pounds, which is fantastic, and her belly growth is right on schedule. She has some mild swelling (or edema), but she just needs to Take It Easy (TIE) and get off her feet.
Our doctor told us about one of [...]
Poem
Tuesday, July 15th, 2003Somebody sent me this poem and it spoke to me so much that I wanted to post it. This poem makes me cry and makes me stronger. Here it goes:
What Makes a Mother
By Jennifer Wasik
I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today.
I asked what makes a Mother
And I know [...]
Sandi News
Friday, July 11th, 2003Sandi’s really showing now and it’s completely adorable. The baby swims around in her uterus, bothering her quite thoroughly, and kicks at the walls quite often. I think I felt it once, but she’s still pretty small.
Sandi’s busily knitting an afghan for one of the girls and then’ll start immediately on a second one. We [...]
Strange but true
Wednesday, July 9th, 2003In a strange pregnancy-related eating experience, I ate mashed potatoes with strawberry yogurt as the gravy. Actually, quite tasty. Next time you are in the mood for something different, you may want to try this concoction.
In other news, we have scheduled our 3d ultrasound. It will be on August 6th. [...]
Two Girls
Thursday, July 3rd, 2003Now that Sandi’s let the cat out of the bag, I can tell you how excited I am about having two little girls.
Since we’ve contemplated having kids, I’ve always had my heart set on a little girl. Sure, I’d take whatever I could get given the infertility issues we’ve faced but if I had to [...]
Another new addition
Tuesday, July 1st, 2003In an amazing bout of fate, the universe brought us another little girl! She is going to be born sometime at the end of October. I know what you are thinking, “Hey, isn’t Sandi and Bill’s other little girl going to be born sometime around that time?” You are thinking correctly! [...]
