Exciting week
Sunday, August 31st, 2003This past week, while Bill was out of town, was a nerve-wracking week. I knew it was going to be a long week because I had parent orientation on Tues. night, Annie’s doctor appointment on Wed., and Kimberly’s appointment on Thurs. But when I went to Annie’s doctor appointment on Wed., it got [...]
In Training This Week
Tuesday, August 26th, 2003I’m attending some computer training this week in Torrance, California and I’m missing my lovely wife something awful. She’s my rock and my source of order. Last night, I went to bed at 11 p.m. or so and left the TV and all the lights on. I woke up at 3:30 a.m. and watched TV, [...]
Annie and Kimberly’s appointment
Thursday, August 14th, 2003Today we went to Kimberly’s doctor appointment. She is doing well. The doctor estimates that at 30 weeks Kimberly is 3 to 3 1/2 pounds. She is growing so well. We are so happy to have her so healthy and strong.
On Tuesday, we had Annie’s doctor appointment and she is doing [...]
Introducing Kimberly Rose
Tuesday, August 12th, 2003Today, we took the birth mother to Geddes to get a picture of Kimberly Rose. She was very cooperative: she yawned a couple of times, blinked, and moved her arms and legs quite a bit. Her umbilical cord was positioned such that it looked like she had big ol’ eyebrows.
This picture shows her in mid-yawn; [...]
Bill and his BIG Ideas
Friday, August 8th, 2003I am not sure where Bill comes up with these things. The web address fourbrowns.com is an interesting idea but I am not sure how distressing it is to our situation. I think as long as we have some pampers and a place to keep our babies we are okay but now I [...]
Virtual Home
Thursday, August 7th, 2003I just bought a new domain for my family. I’ve long coveted thebrowns.com, but that was owned by some reseller of email addresses. bbrown.com slipped through my grip last year. For the last year or so, I’ve settled for bbrown.info but it never felt quite right as a familial home. The name of the site, [...]
Great Appointment!
Wednesday, August 6th, 2003We had a great time at the Geddes Imaging Center watching a three-dimensional ultrasound of Annie. The resolution was amazing and we got to see her smile, open and close her mouth, move her hands and legs a bunch, and open and close her eyes! Okay, so we’ll be able to do this anytime we [...]
Perplexing Times
Wednesday, August 6th, 2003Perplexing Times isn’t pregnancy-related, but it’s funny nonetheless. It’s a series of articles written from the perspective of an infant.
The Haps
Wednesday, August 6th, 2003Yesterday marked week 27’s passage and Sandi is doing fairly well. I still don’t know how she’s going to make it through two months (or so) of teaching after the summer months of relaxation, but she’s a real trooper.
Today is our 3d ultrasound appointment at Geddes Imaging, the local 3d imaging center. It’s only $97 [...]
