Virtual Home

By bbrown | August 7, 2003

I just bought a new domain for my family. I’ve long coveted thebrowns.com, but that was owned by some reseller of email addresses. bbrown.com slipped through my grip last year. For the last year or so, I’ve settled for bbrown.info but it never felt quite right as a familial home. The name of the site, after all, is The Bill Brown Information Center. How do you fit two kids and a wife into that scenario?

So you understand my dilemma. Okay, you don’t. Trust me, there was one there. I’m a Web geek through and through. Lack of an appropriate domain name is a very real concern to me. So I am bubbling with enthusiasm over the domain I just purchased:

fourbrowns.com

Email addresses like annie@fourbrowns.com or kimberly@fourbrowns.com fit perfectly! Or picture the Web sites at annie.fourbrowns.com or sandi.fourbrowns.com. Doesn’t it just roll off the tongue? There’s nothing there yet, but there will be. Oh yes, there will be.
