Sleeping Through the Night

Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

Sadly, the sleeping through the night did not continue last night. Kimberly got hungry and Annie cried for about 45 minutes at 2:30 a.m. before we were finally able to get her to sleep. I don’t often use smileys, but seems appropriate.

Forgot Something

Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

I forgot two recent developments: Kimberly now wakes up at 6 a.m. every morning no matter how late or early she stays up the night before. I guess she’s going to be a morning person. Kimberly has developed an utter fascination with animals. If our cat Darla enters her frame of awareness, she’ll immediately focus [...]

Adoption Proceedings

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

We had our meeting with the county attorney yesterday to sign the paperwork necessary to start the petition for adoption. We got to see the final order that the judge will sign and boy howdy was it impressive! The good news is that we’ll have our hearing set within ninety days because Kimberly is under [...]

In Other News

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

Here’s some other developments in rapid-fire, bullet-item fashion: Kimberly and Annie had their first real common colds this weekend: they timed it well, though, so that Annie started hers just as Kimmie was winding down. There were several sleepless nights each and general massive mucus discharge. It wasn’t pretty and those little dickens promptly gave [...]

Everything Trixie

Saturday, March 27th, 2004

The Trixie Update: I never thought to keep statistics on Annie and Kimberly. Drat! I wish I had.

Gave up my list

Thursday, March 18th, 2004

Kimberly turned 5 months yesterday! She is growing into such a big girl. She can roll over with ease and can sit up pretty well in her boppy. She had sweet potato for the first time yesterday and just loved it! She kept opening her mouth up like a little bird when the food came [...]

What today should have been

Sunday, March 14th, 2004

Bill entitled his post “What Today Could Have Been” and I guess that I am just more angry about this because mine was entitled “What today should have been.” Today should have been a day of celebration! Today should have been cake and presents. Today should have been laughter and talking. Today should have been [...]

What Could Have Been

Sunday, March 14th, 2004

Today would have been Elizabeth’s first birthday, according to her due date of March 14, 2003. For those unfamiliar with our history, Elizabeth Irene Brown was the daughter we never had. She miscarried on August 19, 2002 after four months of gestation. We eagerly awaited the ultrasound that would tell us her gender; we found [...]

Crawling????

Thursday, March 11th, 2004

I thought that I should post this news. The girls are beginning to crawl. Or so my husband and mother think. Pretty much they get their back legs under them and then push off. Generally, they have their face down so they end up crying from skidding on their faces. I am not sure that [...]

Not Much to Report

Monday, March 8th, 2004

There’s not much to report today. The Girls are doing great and are getting better and better about sleeping by themselves in their cribs. I’m getting better at watching them while Sandi takes her aerobics class and other activities. The first floor of our house looks like a tornado hit a nearby Babies ‘R’ Us [...]
