What today should have been

Bill entitled his post “What Today Could Have Been” and I guess that I am just more angry about this because mine was entitled “What today should have been.”
Today should have been a day of celebration!
Today should have been cake and presents.
Today should have been laughter and talking.
Today should have been first steps.
Today should have been a day to remember all you accomplished.
But it wasn’t and I am still very sad because of that. I miss Elizabeth terribly and wish that she were part of our family on earth. I found two poems that sum up pretty much how I feel about her.
Sometimes love is for a moment
Sometimes love is for a lifetime
Sometimes a moment is a lifetime.
To the world, she was just one – To us she was the whole world
You are not the first person this has happened to, they say
(oh but I am. I am the first mother in all time to loose HER)
