Today while Bill and I took Madeline to the Dr. Aunt Teresa stayed with Kimberly and Annie. She caught a glimpse of Annie and Kimberly’s nails so she took it upon herself to trim them up. She also painted them a beautiful pink. The girls look so cute with their nails painted. I just do [...]
Of course he thought that she was beautiful and divine. She looks great inside and out. He checked her over and told us that she was perfect. She is in the 50th percentile for height and head circumference. Her wieght is only in the 25th percentile though. No wonder she looks so skinny, she is [...]
At least that is what the lactation consultant I saw today thinks. Everything is perfect with Madeline and my breastfeeding techniques. The problems I was having were in fact from engorgement. She is gaining weight and breastfeeding well. Of course I have to have something to worry about so I guess breastfeeding will do. She [...]
Here is Madeline’s first professional photo. If you click “Previous Picture” you’ll see the one that we ordered.
I am finally able to go downstairs today. It is such a pleasure to see all of my girls together. Annie and Kimmie love to come over and check on Maddie. They are not allowed to touch her yet but they do enjoy looking. Maddie and I are going to the lactation consultant today. Even [...]
We finally got discharged from the hospital around 9 PM last night. When they were checking Madeline and I out I asked them to check her weight. She is up to 6 pounds 3 and 1/2 ounces. I am so proud of her and her weight gain. I am so happy to be home. I [...]
We have not seen a Dr. yet today. We are hoping that they will come around soon so that we can get discharged sometime today. It would be nice to start settling into the routine at home and relieve Grammy and Grandma and Grandpa Brown from their duties of taking care of the Cruop Twins. [...]
As of last night she weighed in at 6 pounds 1 ounce. She does have a birth mark. I thought that it was a bruise on her back right above her bottom but it is not. It is a Mongolian Spot, her birthmark. She is nursing like a champ still and enjoying the fact that [...]
Now Kimberly has come down with a fever I guess she did not want to be left out.
Okay, I’ve got the pictures up and available on the web site. You’ll have to figure out where they are. Just kidding, they’re right here. I haven’t cleaned up the layout (and it’s not very girly at all), but at least they’re up. Enjoy! [UPDATE: Oh, and I'll be titling the pictures and putting descriptions [...]
So today Annie developed a high fever and a cough. Hmm, haven’t we been here before? We took her to Dr. Coulombe and she’s got croup. Poor thing, she’s having a rough time. Luckily, there doesn’t appear to be any stridor and she’s in pretty good spirits.
Madeline is confused between days and nights. I had forgotten about this aspect of having a newborn.
And the name is…….Madeline Christine Brown!
This is Bill. Sandi has my computer down at the hospital and I can’t remember my password to post under my own account. That’ll teach me to use unique, random passwords! [UPDATE: Edited authorship.] First things first, we aren’t sure if we’re going to name her Eliza. We’ve always said that we want to see [...]
More breastfeeding. Sandi’s doing great and our daughter could’nt be any cuter. I’ll get some pictures up soon.
Sandi’s breastfeeding the baby right now—she latched on right away!
She was born at 11:09 pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19 and a half inches long. Sandi is doing well.
We’re about 15 minutes out now!
There’s quite a crowd ahead of us so we’ll probably be going into the OR around 10 pm.
Her liver and other organs are okay. I’ll post more soon.« Previous Entries
