Friday, September 30th, 2005Annie and Kimberly have gotten some new underwear. I read that I should begin introducing them into underwear. I bought some last time I was out. The Girls love them. They wear them all the time over their diapers. They also enjoy wearing them when swimming, this used to be a naked activity. They look [...]
Another fleeting day. . .
Thursday, September 29th, 2005In one short month Annie Elizabeth will be 2 years old! She has brought such joy to our hearts. How fast this time has raced by! It seems like just yesterday I was laboring and awaiting her arrival. We have definitely gotten into the terrible twos. Tonight Annie made a fuss for close to an [...]
Gallery
Tuesday, September 27th, 2005The gallery will be down for a bit. I’m moving to different software.
Take #3
Tuesday, September 27th, 2005Maddie gobble down her rice cereal last night! She could not get it in fast enough.
Take 2!
Monday, September 26th, 2005Night #2 of feeding Madeline rice cereal mixed with formula went so well! She was leery at first she began feeding like a champ very soon after. I am going to try to get the pics up in a bit.
Well behaved kids!
Monday, September 26th, 2005We were making our weekly trip to Costco. Bill met us there since we went to the one within walking distance from his work. We shopped and bought all sorts of things. After shopping we sat down to have food. Sitting there I could not believe how big and grown up the kids were. They [...]
Madeline’s first culinary adventure!
Saturday, September 24th, 2005Outside of breastmilk and Enfamil! Last night we tried to give Madeline some rice creal mixed with formula. The stage was set; she was in the highchair, playing with a water cup, the food had been mixed and sadly she did not like it at all. We will be trying it again tonight. Hopefully she [...]
Back to our regular schedule
Saturday, September 24th, 2005Bill is done with his woking overtime. He is finally home with us again. The girls could not be more happy. Unfortunately Kimberly shows her happiness by screaming, rather squealing at the top of her lungs. We have got to figure out a way to stop that. Otherwise we are going to need quite a [...]
Someone Pinch Me!
Tuesday, September 20th, 2005Madeline Christine cannot be 5 months old already!! Where did the time go? She is almost able to sit up on her own! The other two were not able to do that until much later. Maddie also scoots around after her sisters. She can only get about 6-8 inches, but oh my she is still [...]
Cooking experience
Monday, September 19th, 2005Lately I have been letting the girls stand on stools and help out in the kitchen. They love this new activity and are such great helpers. Kimberly’s favorite thing to do is to mix stuff. This also includes shaking Madeline’s bottles once I have fixed them. Annie loves to watch intently and try out anything! [...]
Only 29 days!
Sunday, September 18th, 2005I cannot believe that in 29 days my baby will be 2 years old. It was just yesterday that I was holding her fresh from the womb. Time goes so quickly when you least expect it.
Some Cheese and Whine
Tuesday, September 13th, 2005Tonight while I was making dinner I had to shred the cheese. Usually Bill does this job, but since he is working until at least 9 tonight it was up to me to shred the cheese. No problem for me. I am up to the challenge However when I started to shred it both of [...]
Night light wars!
Monday, September 12th, 2005We have a little night light that is in Madeline’s room. Kimberly thinks that it is hers. Each morning she gets her bossy pants up and goes into Maddie’s room and takes it out of the socket. She then says “No Mannie, Kimmie’s light!” She then proceeds to go into her room and plug it [...]
Schedule Change :(
Monday, September 12th, 2005Daddy just informed us that he is going into project completion mode until next Thursday. This means that he will not be home much. He can work from home, but he also needs to have many face-to-face hours to complete the project. He will not be able to come home at his usual 4 PM. [...]
Dangerous Job!
Thursday, September 8th, 2005Today I was just going about my normal day. I had made my children a hot breakfast of toaster waffles and banana. I was talking to my sister on the phone and resting on the sofa. Typical for me. Kimberly started saying “Momma, milk in Dora cup.” I got up to fulfill her request. As [...]
Reflection on Weaning.
Thursday, September 8th, 2005I have been weaning Maddie and I am nearing completion. As I look back on our breastfeeding experience I am humbled at being able to sustain my child’s life outside of the womb with only the milk from my body. Am I sad about the end of this phase? Yes, of course I am. However, [...]
Dressed and ready.
Wednesday, September 7th, 2005Annie loves to dress herself. Today, like most days, she undertook this task! She put her top on inside out and her shorts on the same way! Not sure why she does this. Maybe she likes the bright side of the fabric on the inside. She is getting very good at it and is always [...]
Fattie Maddie is back!
Wednesday, September 7th, 2005I am so happy that my little girl is gaining weight again. At her appointment today she weighed in at a whopping 15 pounds!!!! When she left the hospital on Aug 18, she was only 13 pounds. Way to go Maddie!!! Other than that her appointment went as planned. 2 shots and a clean bill [...]
Update on weaning.
Sunday, September 4th, 2005Madeline’s weaning is going pretty well. She is not that big of a fan of the bottle but she is getting there. Today I increased her bottle intake to 2 a day! I know I am nuts but I find myself getting giddy when her bottle feedings are coming.
Celebrating life!
Sunday, September 4th, 2005The other day I bought a Jiffy yellow cake mix at the store. Today the girls mixed the cake mix up and we cooked it. While fixing dinner I frosted them. Just for fun I put candles in them. The girls were so excited to see “happy cake!” They got a kick out of blowing [...]
