Maddie plays the kazoo!

Monday, February 27th, 2006

I forgot to post about this because I was waiting to download the video for you all. Seeing as how that is probably never going to happen I think I should just tell you about it.
Maddie loves to play kazoo. She will pick it up and start humming away. She [...]

Mud Babies

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

Today Daddy has been working on repairing the sprinkler system. He thought he had it fixed so he asked me to turn it on for him. He found out that he still had a couple more leaks to repair. The leaks made a whole lot of mud. Annie just [...]

Bye-bye

Friday, February 24th, 2006

For a couple of weeks Madeline has been waving hi and bye. It is super cute and she loves doing it. For a couple of days now I have been thinking that she has been saying “hi” and “bye-bye.” Today when leaving Costco suspicions were confirmed. She said “bye” clearly to [...]

We’re twins!

Friday, February 24th, 2006

After our shopping trip to Costco today I heard Kimmie telling Annie that they are twins!!! What have we done here. I guess all those times of people asking if they were twins has made them think they really are! My silly babies.

10 months already!

Tuesday, February 21st, 2006

My precious baby Madeline turned 10 months old yesterday! She is growing and maturing so much. She has become so deliberate with her actions. I love this stage. She knows just what she wants and goes right after it! She is eating regular foods often now! She [...]

Hi-Ho Cherrio!

Tuesday, February 21st, 2006

This weekend they had the game Hi-Ho Cherrrio on sale at Target so we got it to try out with Annie and Kimberly. They certainly did enjoy it! Annie has more of a grasp on how to play the game. Kimberly is slightly more impulsive and just wants to get [...]

The Gardener

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

I wrote a poem for Sandi for Valentine’s Day. Actually, I wrote two but the other one is too private to share.
The Gardener
First you got the seeds
Then you tilled the soil;
Fulfilling all their needs
Suffering through the toil.
At last an inkling’s shown,
A glimpse of what will be,
My how the seeds have grown
Too soon they shall be [...]

Conversation overheard

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

We had to go to Costco today so I loaded the children up in the van. There is no reason to put Annie’s shoes on in the house, if you do she will just take them off in the van and then you have to put them back on her when you arrive [...]

Valentine’s Day

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

This is the first year that Annie and Kimberly did not send out Valentines. Usually I send a little photo of the two of them hugging along with a valentine to friends and family. Unfortunately I was not able to get that accomplished this year. I guess probably since now I [...]

Annie can hear!!!

Monday, February 13th, 2006

She can hear everything. Thing is the kid is very ornery. Whenever she wants to stop hearing you she can. Thankfully she did it at her hearing eval today. They are very glad she will be going to therapy and they think that she will do well.
I guess at her previous eval they just [...]

Curious?

Sunday, February 12th, 2006

Today The Big Girls had their first movie theater experience. We took them to see Curious George at a real, live movie theater. They got the full experience: popcorn, soda, and front-row seats (well, front row of the second tier).
I was quite proud of them. They weren’t noisy except for a couple monkey incidents and [...]

Bill is so lucky!

Saturday, February 11th, 2006

Tonight Bill and I went out to dinner and then shopping for topographical maps of our new home area. When we got back home Annie and Kimberly were still up. They came running over to us, screaming “Mommy and Daddy,” and wanted hugs and kisses.
Bill is so lucky that each day he [...]

Fun at the farm

Saturday, February 11th, 2006

Well, it wasn’t exactly a farm . . . it was Cousin Michelle’s. Annie and Kimberly love to play and romp in her yard. She has a large playground set which include a rock climbing wall and slides. They also love to chase her chicken and pet it. Today they were [...]

a-dub-a-deb-a-doo

Thursday, February 9th, 2006

Annie is working on her speech and while she is coming a long way she still struggles from time to time. When she gets caught up and cannot figure out the word she wants to say she says “a-dub-a-deb-a-doo!” We are not sure where this came from. She has done it all [...]

rolling, rolling, rolling

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

Today at the store when I was putting Madeline in the van. Annie and Kimberly’s cart started rolling away from me!!! Thankfully the parking lot was empty and the girls were yelling for me. I ran right after them and got them. They were at least 15 feet from the [...]

Sleeping babies

Sunday, February 5th, 2006

Remember how I told you that Kimberly had been sneaking out of bed at night and coming into ours. Well, the other night she was in Annie’s bed!!! So cute! Bill went in to check on them and there they were all nestled together. He did not wake me up to [...]

Fever broke.

Saturday, February 4th, 2006

Maddie had her final dose of Tylenol at 11 pm last night. She then slept through and has not had a fever yet today!! Yeah for her.

Spoke too soon.

Thursday, February 2nd, 2006

Maddie has had a fever for a day and a half now. She is now throwing up sometimes. I pray that her fever will relax some and she can feel better. As it is right now as soon as the medicine wears off she is burning up. Bill went out [...]

Annie’s follow-up on her low tone

Thursday, February 2nd, 2006

Today was Annie’s follow-up for her low tone in her face. Although she is making huge gains I am still concerned about her enunciation. When I compare her with children at the playground I know she is doing very well for her age. Still I feel like she could be better. [...]

As expected . . .

Thursday, February 2nd, 2006

I received my blood test results last night. As expected I have a hormone imbalance due to my PCOS. I have begun hormone therapy and hopefully that will help curb the headaches. I also am borderline diabetic. The outside range is 6, I am a 5.5. Cannot remember what exactly that [...]
