Polite babies

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

Annie and Kimberly have become the most polite children. Now, I am not saying that all the time they are a joy to each other or others. I am just saying that they have the capability and we see it often.
Today Annie fell on the staircase while trying to walk [...]

Mimi did it!!!

Saturday, April 29th, 2006

She walked. She took 5 steps over to me!!!!!
She just had her very first dum dum sucker. I guess it gave her the strength to try!!
My baby is joining the upright world!!!!!!!
Later that night she took several steps to Daddy. He was grinning in delight!

Storytime

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

Finally I am able to be organized enough to take all three children out to events. I think it is all their ages too. It is just easier to wrangle them.
For the past two Tuesday mornings we have gone to storytime at a local bookstore. The teacher is fabulous. [...]

Gym again.

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

Today we had our second class of gymnastics. Annie and Kimberly did wonderfully. They are so full of energy and never want to stop having fun. They were focusing on bars this week which was great since Annie and Kimberly need strength in this area. Kimberly is very strong. She [...]

1 potty trained!

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

Nope, not the kids, the new dog. She loves her doggy door and is perfect at using it when she needs to go. When we got her they said that she was almost potty trained. I think that she may have just been locked up in the apartment too long. Here [...]

Mimi’s First Birthday Party!

Monday, April 24th, 2006

We had Madeline Christine’s party on Saturday afternoon. It was a very special party. It was famliy and friends. I was reminded once again how blessed each of my children are. They have people surrounding them with love at each and every turn. Madeline enjoys this all. She loves [...]

Bill and the Girls went shopping for Mimi

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

They adopted a 4 year old poodle for her! Madeline absolutely loves the dog. Sassy is super sweet and loves kids.

Therapy

Friday, April 21st, 2006

Today was Annie’s first therapy session. She is having therapy for her low tone issues. It was a good hour and we got plenty of information on things we can work on at home.
Unfortunately, our therapist mentioned that she thought Annie’s adenoids and tonsils may actually be too large and may [...]

Sad thoughts.

Friday, April 21st, 2006

As I was feeding my baby Madeline a bottle today before nap she grabbed onto my finger. In a flash I was reminded that either Annie or Kimberly did this at each feeding. It was the sweetest little thing. I have asked Bill and he cannot remember who it was either. [...]

Today is the day!

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

Madeline Christine turns one year old today. This day is full of happiness and sadness. Madeline is becoming such a beautiful person. She has changed so much and brought so much joy into our lives. I can remember the very first time that she smiled and we saw those dimples [...]

Gymnastics

Wednesday, April 19th, 2006

Today was our first class. Annie and Kimberly completely loved it. First they ran three laps around the area and then they did their stretches. They did pretty well, there are certainly some things we need to practice at home. After that they got to tumble on the cheese mats [...]

K is for Kimmie

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

The other day while we were driving down the road Annie started screaming “K for Kimmie” from the backseat. She was looking at the Circle K emblem. I was amazed to hear her say this. Annie generally is not observant of small details like this, she is more a big picture kind [...]

A Thing of Beauty

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

I am woefully remiss in writing my recap of our recent trip to California, but the pictures are out there. This one always brings a smile to my eyes:

Easter was fun!

Monday, April 17th, 2006

We had a great Easter. Annie was really into the egg hunting. She was good at it too! Kimmie enjoyed it too but not with the same vigor. Mimi was not into egg hunts but totally loves her Touch and Feel animal book. Annie and Kimberly have been enjoying the [...]

Not a Step yet!

Monday, April 17th, 2006

Mimi is not taking any steps yet! She can stand for hours on end keeping her balance. She can squat and resume standing without wavering. She can walk holding onto one hand. But she will not take that leap of faith and put one foot out in front of the other! [...]

Signed up and ready!

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

I took them down today to the local YMCA to see the gymnastic class. They loved it and are so ready to join in. We would have been able to attend today except that I had not made provisions for Ms. Mimi and having her in the backpack while I care for Annie and Kimmie [...]

Inch by inch, row by row

Sunday, April 9th, 2006

We are going to make this garden grow. The entire family was out digging, mixing in potting soil and making burms to make this happen. Some of the members of the family are less helpful than others.
We planted zucchini, strawberries, eggplant, cucumbers, bell peppers, and tomato. The girls are [...]

Strange Bedfellows

Saturday, April 8th, 2006

It’s times like this that I’m very glad we have a king-sized bed. Kimberly, our darling daughter, has been joining our sleep club for the last few weeks. For those that aren’t familiar with the club, its previous membership was quite firm at two. We’ll be darned to figure out how she got past the [...]

Finally

Friday, April 7th, 2006

We have finally discovered a medicine that Madeline does not spit out like a mad cat!!!  She actually tolerates the taste of amoxicillin.  Now I am not saying that she gulps it down and asks for more like the other children do, but she actually takes it without being strapped down!  This is huge!

I feel so bad!!!

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

Mimi has double ear infections!!
She never complains and I had no idea. I finally took her in today because she is still not feeling well since on the trip. It was one week and I felt that I could hear it in her chest. I was right on that one, it is in her [...]
