Monday, July 31st, 2006Which is completely appropriate since one of my pet names for Bill is Einstein. Anyway, back to my story. Today I was going through my old teaching stuff getting our “classroom” ready. I came across my wood 50 states puzzle. I set this aside thinking that the kids would not be ready for it. While [...]

Neighborhoods
Wednesday, July 26th, 2006A while back when Bill and I decided to stay here at this house and not move I got such a sense that this was where we were to be. Our children were conceived in the idea when we purchased this home. Now they are here with us. It is an amazing life. Today when [...]
Sea World through the eyes of a child.
Monday, July 24th, 2006Bill and I have been to Sea World many times in the past. We have always enjoyed the animals and interesting interactions. It was so neat to go this time and see it as children see it. When we first arrived we went to pet the dolphins. I knew this would get them hooked and [...]
Back to Life
Sunday, July 23rd, 2006780 miles later, we’re back from our vacation! Everyone had a great time though I think I can safely say that we’re glad it’s over. The Girls developed some bad habits en vacance; more on that in a bit. The drive over went fairly well. I can’t think of any screaming jags or difficult times. [...]

Soda freaks
Wednesday, July 19th, 2006Since Annie’s surgery we were allowing her to drink anything that she would. This included soda. Since Kimberly could not understand us treating Annie differently she and Mimi partook in the soda drinking as well. Well, now comes the time that we have to wean the little ladies from soda and sugary drinks. I think [...]
Weighing my options
Wednesday, July 19th, 2006As many of you may or may not know, I began a weight loss journey on January 1st, 2006. I have lost 16 pounds total. I was only modifying my diet to begin with. I am feeling so much better in regards to my blood sugar. I think that those pounds have helped in that [...]
Down 2 pounds.
Tuesday, July 18th, 2006Annie lost two pounds during her recovery of her surgery. I know this does not seem like much but when your total body weight used to be 27.5 pounds it is a lot. She is now down to a measley 25 pounds. I know that she will put it back on soon. She just seems [...]

Mommy school!
Friday, July 14th, 2006The time has come to begin Kimberly and Annie\’s formal education. They are super smart little things and they need guidance on the ways to learn more. I am looking to purchase the Open Court phonics wall cards so that they can learn to associate sounds with letters. They already know and can identify many [...]

Update about my Dr. appt.
Wednesday, July 12th, 2006Today I had the meeting with my Dr. It is official. I will be having a total abdominal hysterectomy. I will loose one, both, or none of my ovaries. Surgery good for Mimi and Kimberly
Tuesday, July 11th, 2006They have been bonding. Generally Annie and Kimberly do not include Mimi in their games. They have been known to avoid her all together. The good news is that while Annie has been out of commission Kimberly had to turn to her littlest sis for a playmate. In these past few days Madeline has been [...]
Update on Annie
Tuesday, July 11th, 2006She is doing okay. She continues to struggle with drinking enough and eating. I just pray that she is getting enough fluids. I cannot imagine her scabs falling off and her bleeding later. I am still struggling with having enough patience. I know that this is something I need to get to the root of. [...]
