Fun with bougainvillea!
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006Today I went downstairs for a bit. My girls were outside raking bougainvillea while Daddy was pulling weeds. Daddy then decided to throw them on them. They absolutely loved it. I ran, well walked slow as a snail, inside and got the camera to capture the moment.
Here are a [...]
Visiting the nursery
Monday, August 28th, 2006Today the girls all were caring for babies in the playroom. Kimmie had twins and was patting one on her shoulder. Mimi had her baby and was feeding her ice cream. Annie had the other set of twins and was putting them to sleep in the crib!
I did not witness [...]
Without a few parts but still me
Monday, August 28th, 2006I am still me. I am still a Mother, a teacher, and infertile. It still pains me to know how easily many can become pregnant and have children and not have to have a hysterectomy. I am and will forever be infertile because these were not my choices. If it were [...]
Recovery is going well.
Monday, August 28th, 2006I am at home. Stationed upstairs while Bil and the children are downstairs. They come up often to visit and bring me food and drinks. They are taking great care of me.
Bill is holding up okay under the circumstances. My job is not an easy one and these children [...]

Sunday, August 27th, 2006I am finally home. It feels good to be resting in my bed again. Here is the story of my hospital visit.
Day One Part One, Thursday, morning I woke up at 5 am and got ready to go to the hospital. We drove there and arrived at 5:30. They [...]
Quote of the day
Sunday, August 27th, 2006Mama, Mwah! ~Mimi
Mimi says this each time she sees me in the hospital. Didn’t want to leave her out, and besides it is super cute.

Quote of the day
Saturday, August 26th, 2006Remember when I was born here last day. ~ Kimberly
Kimberly said this when we were going to look at the new babies in the nursery. BTW she was born here, but it was not last day(her way of saying yesterday). It was almost 3 years ago.
Quote of the day
Friday, August 25th, 2006I will so you do not fall Mom. ~ Annie
She told this to me as she grabbed my hand as we set out on a walk around the floor so I could get some excercise. It was so sweet.
The Surgery
Thursday, August 24th, 2006The hospital has two public access computers, so it looks like I’ll be able to update here at the cost of a bit of a walk. (But what kind of public access terminal has email blocked!? Crazy.) Sadly, my BlackBerry (with unlimited Internet access!) doesn’t arrive until tomorrow so this’ll have to do.
Sandi’s probably getting [...]
8 hours before the big H
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006Everything is ready. The children are in good hands, thanks Grammy. The lists have been made. The casseroles have all been frozen. Good friends have sent cards and called to let me know they are thinking of me. (BTW thanks for that it means a lot to me.) Bill will [...]
LA LA LA LA LA

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006“Pssshh” - Madeline
Said with an accompanying arm movement to above her head whenever she’s talking about dolphins or “Ahmu”
Impending surgery day
Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006Yesterday the hospital called to confim my surgery time and go over last minute questions. So I guess that makes it official. Of course kids are coming down with some sort of cold, just runny noses at this point. Bill and I are nervous wrecks and the kids are afraid that there [...]

Monday, August 21st, 2006No I am just not feeling good. ~Kimberly

To my Elizabeth . . .
Friday, August 18th, 2006Today is too easy. I do not have to make you a birthday cake. I do not have to rush about getting things prepared for your party. I don’t have to think about whether or not you will like your gift or what will be your favorite. I am just here, [...]
