Saturday, September 30th, 2006Over the past few days I have gone through horrific emotional stress. There have been absolute lows and super high highs. For my own memory I would like to post about my experience and what I was feeling about this most precious baby. It was a normal morning in our suburban household. [...]
Home again :-)
Saturday, September 30th, 2006We have finally been released from the hospital. Mimi is taking a nap in her own crib right now. Of course I am sitting just outside of her crib typing this and watching her. This has been a very tough experience. I cannot express how much all the love and prayers [...]
In a Flash
Friday, September 29th, 20069 Months in 20 Seconds: that is so much fun to watch.
Holding Steady
Friday, September 29th, 2006Just got The Girls down to sleep after taking them up to visit Madeline this afternoon. I worked in the morning while my mom watched Annie and Kimberly.
So what’s going on with little Mimi? Not much. She’s the same as she was last night: alert at times, groggy the rest, and often crabby. She was [...]
Getting Better
Thursday, September 28th, 2006Things are getting better. Madeline has woken up a few times from her medicine-induced slumber. Her hands are tied to the bed so she can’t pull out her breathing tube, which is lodged between her vocal cords; it’s pretty difficult to watch her cry silently and struggle to reach up and remove something that’s obviously [...]
Bad Stuff Going Down
Thursday, September 28th, 2006I’m posting this from Phoenix Children’s Hospital as Madeline lies sedated in the pediatric ICU. Phew, that’s quite an opening sentence, isn’t it!
Thoughts on growing
Monday, September 25th, 2006“I am growing a big girl in my tummy.” ~ Annie
Said after eating 1/2 of a hamburger, 2 chicken nuggets and some french fries!
Curly Girls
Friday, September 22nd, 2006Annie and Kimberly’s first night of curlers went well. Kimberly woke up with all curlers in tact and Annie only had the two closest to her face missing. I think that they look super cute!
Back view; see if you can tell them apart!
Little girl fun
Thursday, September 21st, 2006Tonight after bath I put Annie and Kimberly’s hair in sponge rollers. They absolutely loved it and looked super cute. They are excited to have curlers, which is what they are calling curly hair, for tomorrow. Here are some pictures of the super cute girls. Take note that they [...]
Help it is getting on my nerves!
Wednesday, September 20th, 2006How do you get them to stop getting on each other’s nerves? I mean this seriously, any suggestions. These three know each other so intimately that they know just what will send another over the edge.
Big Ol’ Kid
Monday, September 18th, 2006Biggest Baby Ever: weighing 14 pounds, 13 ounces was born by C-section (duh!) joining his four siblings whose birth weights were 9 pounds, twins at 8½ pounds each, and “nearly 12 pounds.” Holy moly!
Playground Big Girl
Monday, September 18th, 2006We had some time to kill before dinner was ready, so I took The Girls to the school playground. Naturally, they had a blast but this time Madeline was able to participate in just about everything her big sisters did.
She climbed up the equipment herself and slid down the slide. She even swung for a [...]
Eww, Grosser
Sunday, September 17th, 2006We were over at frequent commenter, cousin, and fellow blogger Michelle’s house yesterday to visit and get our hairs cut. They have a big backyard replete with toys like a swing set, trampoline, and play house. This backyard also has a number of chickens and cats.
Everyone was playing on the aforementioned toys when Kimberly called [...]
Eww gross
Friday, September 15th, 2006Mimi has started spitting and watching it drop to the ground. Yeah, it is gross. If you can’t imagine how gross it really is imagine walking and wondering why your foot is wet! UGH!! I hope we can convince her to stop soon.
So grown up
Thursday, September 14th, 2006Our Mimi does not talk a lot. I am sure she is just finding out how to interject with the dynamic duo. She had maybe 10-15 words that she used. All of a sudden she has exploded with trying to say more words. She was playing today with Kimberly’s [...]
5:45 am????
Thursday, September 14th, 2006Kimberly and Annie woke up at 5:45 this morning. I let them know that until they have jobs that is not allowed!!!! Ohhh this is going to be a long day!
Healing
Wednesday, September 13th, 2006I am doing better. Beginning to feel more like myself. I still get terribly tired easily and still have pain from time to time, but I am doing well. Hot flashes seem to be getting better. All in all doing well.
Kids are getting more and more used to having [...]
Simplifying life before the complications begin.
Monday, September 11th, 2006I have been trying to get rid of so much of the stuff that Bill and I have lying around. Bill took three trips to GoodWill and we are nowhere close. Bill and I cleaned out our closets last week and they look so much better. Boy we had some outdated stuff in [...]
50 by 50
Saturday, September 9th, 2006Here’s my 50 goals to accomplish by the age of 50. I think I’ve been woefully remiss in my goal setting since The Girls came around and this is the start of remedying that. There were a ton of goals that I came up with that just didn’t fit such a long time frame, but [...]
You’ve Got to Ask Me Nice
Thursday, September 7th, 2006“You have to ask me nicerly.” — Kimberly
Said after Annie impolitely requested her turn from the cold water bottle in the bath.
