Not Quite Warm Enough

Our beach day was planned far in advance so when rain was predicted we headed out anyhow. Our friend Larry was going to meet us down there and then we would go to lunch.
It was 57 degrees at the beach with wind. Bill wanted to leave before we even went, but the man knows how I feel about the ocean so off we went. I love the ocean and always am so mesmerized by it. I even got down to business and got a family picture on the beach. 
The kids were having a okay time. Mimi did not like the wind on her face and wanted to bury her face in Daddy’s coat. Kimmie was completely wrapped in a towel and Annie was loving it just as much as I was. 
After 15 minutes everyone, except Annie, was totally ready to go back to the hotel. I suggested we go play at the park, which was only a mile or two inland but I knew that the temperature change would be enough for everyone to be happy.
We let Larry know that we would be at the park rather than the beach. He met us there and we went to a nice little Mexican place for lunch. It was good to see Larry since he is a very busy guy.
