Night Life

By sandi | May 28, 2007

Our kids rarely get out at night. Since they wake up at 6:30 every morning regardless of what time we put them to bed we tend to put them to bed early so that they are well rested. Last night Daddy went to see Hot Fuzz at the theater leaving Aunt Steph and I home in charge. Bill generally wants to put the kids to bed early and I tend to be more lenient. Last night I let the kids stay up. Around 8 Steph and I wanted to go to QT for drinks. We got the kids shoes on and off we went.
Usually the kids will run in the garage and get into the seats and start buckling. They would not last night since they were sure there were bats in the garage. They went out with me and while I was securing them in their seats Annie was talking about bats and owls. They were sure that we would see some. Once on the road they turned their discussion to talking about wolves and howling for them. At QT Annie thought she heard a owl, of course most likely it was tires screaching at the pumps.

Steph and I could barely contain ourselves. Obviously these kids don’t get out at night!

Kids went to bed at 9:30 which is good since Bill returned only 20 minutes later. :)

That is too funny! I just read about the EEG your daughter had done. Thanks for sharing that. My grandson has seizures and had another EEG recently but they didn’t catch anything new. (My daughter suspected he was having a different type of seizure.) He was set to do a 48 hour one, I suspect like the one your daughter had. They mentioned the sticky stuff would be more than the usual one. I’m sorry to hear it was so hard to get off.

I’m not sure I understood what exactly the neurologist said to you all in response to the EEG. We’ve been frustrated at times with the neuro here too and have changed once already. It is so hard to get answers. My grandson has several issues going on and has never been really diagnosed with more than seizures but obviously has other issues. (He is 4 1/2 and has maybe 5 or 6 words.)

My kids are the same way!

The first time we came out of Target and it was dark they were amazed. They kind of freaked out too and kept telling me to be careful walking to the car.

My girls were talking about bats yesterday in my bathroom…I guess it looks like a cave. lol

My kids hate when we are driving anywhere at night. We rarely go out after dark. It’s funny because even the older girls will say, “It’s creepy being in the van in the dark!”
