San Diego July 2007

By sandi | August 8, 2007

We just came home from a whirlwind vacation to San Diego. It was very quick but a lot of fun. :) Monday morning we were out the door and on the road at 5:09 am. Kids were wide awake at this point, even though Bill still held out hope that they would sleep.

We arrived in San Diego at 11:30 and decided to go to the beach at Coronado Island. We had such fun there playing in the ocean and looking for seashells. Aunt Steph and I worked on sand mermaid fins for the girls. Kimberly and Mimi loved theirs. Annie loved breaking the sand.

After the beach we went to our hotel to get cleaned up from the sand. The girls attempted to nap. After an hour we gave up and headed to Sea World to meet up with Larry, Bill’s friend. We had a great time that night taking in all the shows. Kimberly fell asleep in Daddy’s arms during the Shamu show and Mimi fell asleep in Mommy’s arms. Annie was the trooper and made it all night.

Tuesday we woke up and went to have breakfast with Shamu. Since it was Bill’s birthday we decided to do something extra special. Mimi took this great pic of Mommy and Daddy resting. It was a neat time, so close to the whales. We spent the rest of our day walking around Sea World enjoying all it has to offer. All in all it was a great trip. :)

Favorite memories:
Mommy – Building beach mermaids for the kids
Daddy – Wild Arctic Adventure and Kimmie falling asleep in his arms at the nighttime Shamu show
Kimmie – Mermaid at the beach and feeding and petting the dolphins
Annie – Pets Rule show
Mimi – Penguins

Here is a video of Annie with her starfish. :)

You can see all 102 pics from the vacation here. :)
