Wednesday, October 31st, 2007The kids insisted that they wear their costumes all day today. Since we were just going to Albertsons and Costco I said it was fine. Here they are.
Carved our pumpkins
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007Tonight we carved our pumpkins.
First is Mimi’s and it is a sad face.
Next is Annie’s it is supposed to be a mad face. (I am sorry Annie. I will try better next year. I really need to look up angry jac-o-lantern faces.)
Last is Kimmie’s it is a happy face.
Two great tastes that taste great together
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007“I am not peanut butter I am chocolate.” ~ Kimberly
Said after I called her peanut butter.
I couldn’t agree more. I was thinking of this the other day. I cannot imagine Annie and Kimberly without each other. Kimmie is totally chocolate and Annie is the peanut butter. What a perfect [...]

Happy Birthday Annie Elizabeth
Monday, October 29th, 2007Happy birthday to my precious girl. You are an amazing miracle. You have grown so much and become such an amazing little girl. Just tonight as we were eating dinner you impressed me with your maturity. Of course, moments later you were being crazy and silly, two things which you are [...]
¿Como te llamas?
Sunday, October 28th, 2007“No, I Big Mama.” — Madeline
Said when you call her Mimi or Madeline. Whenever she’s in one of her characters (Big Mama, Prairie Dog, Mr. Crabby, Toto, etc.), you must address her as that character or you will get nowhere. Ask her a question addressed to “Meemzie” or whatever and that’s the response you’ll get. [...]
Giving it her all
Friday, October 26th, 2007Kimberly has just started giving up her nap. For 3 days now she has not taken one. I think she is finally growing out of this. She has always loved her nap. She is the only child of mine who will say that she needs to go to bed. Perhaps [...]
Knit hats!
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007Annie in a red cable knit hat.
I also made Kimmie a variegated blue, green and purple one. I will have to get pics of it tomorrow. However, you cannot really see the cable pattern very well on it. (You can see the yarn on the couch beside Annie.)
I am going [...]
A new game or two
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007We have been enjoying the new games that Annie and Kimberly got from their birthday. Yesterday we played Candyland and Annie won. It was the first time we had played a game where we only allowed one person to win.
Tonight we played Hullabaloo. The kids loved it. Everyone won a different [...]
Goodbye nuk nuk!
Monday, October 22nd, 2007Today Kimberly put her nuk in a envelope and mailed it away to a new baby Kimberly. She was brave and even dropped it in the mailbox all on her own after giving it a hug and kiss goodbye. It was the sweetest thing and, as I normally do in sentimental occasions, I [...]
Kimmie’s well check
Monday, October 22nd, 2007Kimberly is 4 years old and had her well check. She was in the 50th percentile for her height and the 25th for her weight. Her birthmark has grown 3 mm since last year so we will be seeing a dematologist to get it checked out. The Dr. kinda wanted to wait [...]

Princess Party
Sunday, October 21st, 2007Yesterday was Annie and Kimberly’s Princess Party. They had such a great time. They were dressed as Belle and Barbie Island Princess. They loved playing with cousins and friends.
Big hugs to all who came out. Sorry for those who had to miss it. Stomach flu caught a couple families of [...]

Here she is 4 years ago today.
Happy Birthday Kimberly Rose
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007I am so proud of you and who you have become. You are a brilliant little girl. Your spirit and imagination make my heart sing. I love being your mother. I am so glad that you are mine. I cannot imagine my life without you.
As I put you [...]
Finished Madeline’s Knit Baby Blanket
Tuesday, October 16th, 2007In only 8 months I completed Mimi’s baby blanket! I love it. It is so nice. She adores it. I left it spread out on the living room floor last night for her to find this morning and she was so excited.
It is a little smaller than I was thinking. [...]
A lot of Imagination
Monday, October 15th, 2007We found my old tangrams from when I taught and we were fooling around with them. Kimmie made some really cute things. Here is her flower and cat.
New outfits
Monday, October 15th, 2007Yeah those pants are something and they are a little wide legged but she LOVES the fabric!
Madeline in her new super cute dress. I love this fabric. She will be wearing it this winter with tights and a pink turtleneck.
The best job ever!
Monday, October 15th, 2007Today I was out running errands with the girls when someone called out, “Mrs. Brown.” I turned to see who it was, it was a parent of a student I had many years ago. It was so neat to see her and chat with her and it reminded me. Today is my [...]
