Tempus Fugit
By bbrown | December 30, 2007
Sandi reads a lot of Ethiopian adoption blogs for obvious reasons. Tonight she noticed that one of them had gotten their court date. That is such a happy time, but what makes it even more impressive is that they finished their dossier on September 19, 2007! They’ve spent a little over six months total on their adoption.
Of course every case is different and we know that ours could take longer, but six months from start puts us at March 2008 (we started back in September). That seems unreal to me that we could be Ethiopia-bound within a quarter. (Also, frankly terrifying: we haven’t completed our shots, drafted a will, obtained life insurance, and all the responsible adult things we have to do before we leave the country and our preciousesses—hmm, I think I just made that word up.)

I cannot imagine the whirlwind that they have been on. It was so weird to set up Salty’s crib today and now to think that is could be that close! YIKES!!!
Blessings and congratulations to them. So very exciting!
