“I need some pork chops.” ~ Annie
Said to me after I served her dinner of pork fried rice. She was pinching her thumb and pointer finger together. I figured out that she was meaning chop sticks. Silly girl.

I laughed when I read this because the sign for “meat” is the thumb and pointer finger pinching together with the other flat hand between them. She was so close to actually signing MEAT. I know that wasn’t what she was trying to do, but it still struck me as funny.
The stories you share about your girls always bring me a smile. And to think that soon you’ll have a little boy to tell stories about too!
