May 30th
By sandi | May 12, 2008
So here I am patiently waiting for a referral for our son and you all post your guesses of when you think it might happen. My nephew Wyatt guessed a date so far away that I could not possibly get anxious over it, God Bless him. Then there was Joni and my Mother, both very smart women, who guessed May 30th. That is a mere 18 days away! I cannot imagine gazing at my son in 18 days, even though I was ready yesterday.
Today we met up with some Ethiopian adoptive parents and their children. The Girls adored seeing them and agreed with me that they were so gorgeous! We talked with a family who actually lives in my very neighborhood. They came home recently with a sweet little girl. Imagine Salty going to the neighborhood school with a little girl from his region in Ethiopia!!!! Okay yeah, I am overboard but WOW.
Thank you everyone who made a guess and participated but I really hope that Joni and my Mother win!
I am ready to bring Salty home and make him part of our family.

I hope and pray it is the 30th! May 30th is the day I became a mother, and so for me it is the natural choice of when this will happen for you! I am looking forward to meeting Salty!

Salty? Mikaleigh’s neighborhood pal from her home country’s name is going to be Salty?
Your children are so adorable. It was nice to see you again today…
