Really? Big Family?
By sandi | September 8, 2008
Us? Really?
I am always shocked when people consider us a big family. That is even before they know that we are adopting another child.
Since when did three children become a huge family? I don’t fell like we are big, just because we don’t fit into the two-children model doesn’t mean we are big.
Sure we cannot fit our entire family into our Mini Cooper, but isn’t that part of its charm. I think it is great to have a fun vehicle that only Bill and I really fit into.

I remember experiencing the same shock when people referred to my crew as a large family. Compared to the 8 children in the family I grew up in, 4 was small.
Dh has a little two-seater hybrid. We love driving it just because you can’t fit the entire fam in it.

Are you kidding? I grew up in a family of 6, my husband in a family of 7, my dad in a family of 9, and my grandfather in a family of 15. How is 5 big?? I am so thrilled that your husband will no longer be the lone male in a sea of girls! And heck, 4 kids are the new 2.5, right?
