Rolling like a river

The water is back on in the Brown house!!!! We are overjoyed. First thing we did was run the dishwasher, which had dishes in it since last weekend, and turned on the lawn water so that the lawn and other plants got the water they needed.
The floor in the office is fixed and the concrete is drying. Unfortunately there was also a leak in the line above it and that had to be repaired. The drywall guy won’t be here until Monday to fix it but I can live with that. I don’t mind a hole in my wall half as much as I mind no water.
I had defrosted a pound of bacon on Sunday but was unable to cook it for the kids because I didn’t want bacon dishes to have to clean. Every time the kids opened the fridge this week they asked when I was going to make it for them. When the water was back on I made them eggs, bacon and biscuits for lunch. They really enjoyed it.
