19 pounds 8 ounces
By sandi | February 9, 2009
Paul is really catching up on his weight! He currently weighs in at 19 pounds 8 ounces. He has grown a half of an inch and is doing great. Both of his ears were clear as well from his ear infection.
I am so pleased at the growth and adjustment he has made. He is growing so well that he can discontinue drinking formula and be full time onto cow milk.
The doctor assured me that his height should catch up quickly once he has his weight under control.
Some may wonder why we are so obsessed with his weight and growth. If you saw me in real life you would understand why since most often the comments are, “wow your 6 month old is walking!” When Paul was referred to us he was only 14 pounds. He was 8 months old. He was malnourished and dehydrated. I am so glad that he didn’t have any failure to thrive sorts of issues and that with proper care he can grow and live a happy healthy life. I am sure that is what his birth mother wanted for him and I know for a fact it is what we want for him.
To give you an idea of how small he really is here he is next to Mikaleigh. She is only one month older than him.

He’s so itty bitty!!! Our 3 and a half year old is a tiny little man. People always comment on how well our little 2 year old talks! All of our boys were low weight and height percentiles thru toddler-hood, but the older ones have caught up now! You will be looking up at Paul before you know it!!!
