Saturday, October 31st, 2009I had the pleasure tonight to trick or treat with the cutest kids I know. The Cousins, Joseph, Wyatt and Damian, came over to join in the fun. Aunt Christina, Ian and Kyle came to trick or treat as well. We all had fun walking around getting treats and seeing all the cute costumes. Paul [...]
Pumpkin Carving 2009
Saturday, October 31st, 2009Today the Girls carved their pumpkins as well. Annie’s cat pumpkin design came out very cute. Kimmie’s hungry pumpkin was a very good idea and funny! Mimi had fun gutting and carving the pumpkin that was almost as big as her!
Paul’s first jack-o-lantern
Saturday, October 31st, 2009Today we carved our pumpkins. Paul wasn’t quite sure what we were doing but he caught on quickly. He liked to use the spoon to scoop out seeds. He kept on scooping for a long while. Here he is with his first jack-o-lnatern.
My First Turkey
Friday, October 30th, 2009Believe it or not I have never made a turkey up until today. I am not sure why I was so apprehensive about it, it really is quite easy. I had a very hard time with the clearing out the inside part, so much in fact that my Mother (who came over to supervise me) [...]
Annie is six
Thursday, October 29th, 2009Annie had a great day today. She got up and opened her gifts from the family. It was a school day so she got ready and went to school. Today was the field day for school so Daddy stayed to watch her while I took Mimi to school. Once Paul and I were done taking [...]
I am “that” parent
Tuesday, October 27th, 2009Tonight was Parent-Teacher conferences. I really didn’t want to be “that” parent, but I had to be. You know the type, “oh my child is so smart and you aren’t challenging them, and what are you going to do about it?” parent. Really I wasn’t “that” parent, I cannot imagine being that way, and since [...]

Trunk or Treat
Monday, October 26th, 2009Last night was Trunk or Treat night. The kids had a great time looking at all the decorations. Some of the people went all out in their decor. It was fun to mingle with friends and meet new people. One of the families had even set up a smore station.
Our go-getter
Monday, October 26th, 2009Kimberly is a rule following child by nature. She likes to please and works hard to always do her best. At home she tends to not be as obedient but at school she is. Honestly if I had to choose just one place for her to be well behaved I would choose school. She has [...]
Paul’s Tantrums
Monday, October 26th, 2009I recently wrote about Paul entering the terrible twos. It seems that has definitely happened. I read all your responses and appreciate any and all advice. I have Raising Your Spirited Child, it was very helpful with Kimmie and Annie, and will be pulling it out to look at the parts referring to tantrumy boys. [...]
Family Movie Night
Sunday, October 25th, 2009Friday night was Family Movie Night at Annie and Kimberly’s school. We bought dinner packages at the school so we only needed to bring snacks and water. The school PTO was showing Ice Age 3. The kids have seen this movie before and really enjoyed it. Paul proved to be a little more difficult to [...]
Birthday Costume Party
Sunday, October 25th, 2009For years Annie and Kimberly have been wanting a Halloween costume party theme for their birthday party. This year they got their wish. Invitations were sent out to their classmates, Daisy troop mates, family and friends of the family. When the RSVP’s started rolling in I began to question our choice. We had over 80 [...]
Daisy Girls Scout picnic
Sunday, October 25th, 2009Saturday morning before the birthday party Kimberly, Annie and I went to our first Mother Daughter Girl Scout picnic. It was nice to go with just Annie and Kimberly. We rode over in the Mini Cooper with the top down and got checked in. We then proceeded to get the Girls faces painted. When we [...]
Help! We may have entered the Terrible Twos!
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009We need help. Paul is the first child we have had that has, what I have to assume are terrible two, tantrums. Sure the other kids have had them but not constantly, and about anything and everything. He screams and yells for a long time about anything and everything. You can tell he is angry. [...]
Well visit
Tuesday, October 20th, 2009Yesterday we had Paul’s well check. My boy is finally growing well and caught up on his shots. In December he will no longer need to go for every other month checkups. He can finally just go in as needed and at yearly exams. This is huge for him. To think of how healthy he [...]
Disturbed Sleep
Tuesday, October 20th, 2009For three nights now Paul has been waking sometime between 3 and 5 am. This is far too early to be awake. We have been bringing him into our bed and consoling him. He is quiet and just lays there while I rub his head, his most favorite thing in the entire world, but he [...]
Lander Bubble Bath
Sunday, October 18th, 2009Recently I was approached to review Lander Bubble Bath. We always like free things so we couldn’t resist. We were sent some of the Berry Blast variety and the kids had been clamoring for a bubble bath since the day it arrived. Since we don’t always have time for a good long soak we had [...]
Kimberly is Six
Sunday, October 18th, 2009Today Kimberly turned six year old. She loved every moment of her day. She had breakfast out with Grammy and Papa, lunch at home while watching tv, and pizza with salad for dinner. She and I made her chocolate cake, with chocolate icing, with white chocolate chip decorations. Needless to say it was very chocolatey—which [...]
Mr. Joker
Thursday, October 15th, 2009I was able to capture a little bit of Paulie saying knock knock today. He replaced the “that” with “mmmm.” Still hilarious! And this one gives more of his language skills and shows him “yelling” with a stern finger at Annie. He loves to discipline people this way. It was neat to capture it.
Birthday crowns
Thursday, October 15th, 2009Today I whipped up the birthday crowns for my Girls. I think they will love how they came out. They are into everything Halloween this year. They are even having a Halloween costume birthday party. It should be fun. I have her presents, I have the stuff for her cake, I have her crown ready, [...]
