A year’s difference
By sandi | November 18, 2009
Today it has been one year since the date we found out Paul had become our son. Yes, our court date was actually the 17th but we had to wait an additional day to find out the good news so the 18th feels like the one year anniversary.
Last year on this date I knew I had a son, but I had never held him. I knew I loved him even though his eyes hadn’t met mine. It felt surreal and like a dream. Today that dream is in my arms and while we won’t always see eye to eye we can stare at each other for hours on end.
