Kimberly
« Previous EntriesPoor Sickey Pukey Poo
Thursday, September 2nd, 2010Yesterday Kimberly came home from school feeling yucky. She said her head, tummy and ear hurt. She was running a temperature and just lazing about. Today she had to stay home from school, even though she didn’t want to. She watched some tv and played on the computer. She also read books to Paul for [...]
Moody Girls
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010It is obvious that Kimberly and Annie are asserting their personalities more and more. They are both very strong, opinoinated girls. Sometimes this takes the form of wanting to dress a particular way and sometimes it shows itself when they want to do whatever they please. Dressing with their own style, within reason is something [...]
We’re Adjusting
Thursday, August 19th, 2010Paul and I are adjusting well to our time without the Girls. He is still lost without their constant direction but he is getting along. He likes to swim and hang out with just Mom. He hasn’t really gotten into playing by himself yet, but I know it will come. We have only been on [...]
I need them more
Tuesday, August 17th, 2010It has become very clear that I need my children more than they need me. Today as I dropped Annie and Kimberly off they rushed off onto the playground. I had to call them back to give me a hug and kiss. (*I had the camera with me and was tempted to pull it out [...]
First Day of School
Monday, August 16th, 2010First Day Sassy Outfits Madeline had her first day in Kindergarten. We celebrated the day with First Day cakes. It was a nice day. The kids all enjoyed their classes, except for the fact that Annie and Kimberly said recess was way to short.
‘Twas the night before school
Sunday, August 15th, 2010Today was the last day of summer for my kids. Tomorrow a new school year begins. Because of this we did some family traditions and started a new one. The kids really took their time in the bath tonight making sure they would be clean enough for school. We reviewed their morning checklist. They laid [...]
Spa Day
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010Today Kimberly opened up her spa and was giving out free massages. Paul jumped at the chance and enjoyed his pampering while watching Go Diego Go!
My Gymnasts
Monday, August 2nd, 2010It seems as though I am in need of this button. Since it is the end of summer and we needed to place the Girls in their next class the coaches did little evaluations on them. Madeline was evaluated and they found out that she is very talented in the area of gymnastics. Not only [...]
Monsoon Showers
Sunday, August 1st, 2010We have finally got into the Monsoon season in Arizona. As a native I love these storms. I love to sit outside and listen to the pitter patter of the rain. I love to go out and sit in the warm drizzle. On Thursday we had quite a big one and the kids wanted to [...]
Alive and Well
Thursday, July 22nd, 2010I know I haven’t been posting to the blog lately. It doesn’t have to do with anything in particular, but a lot of little things. Summer is a very busy time for me and we mainly swim, eat, sleep, repeat so there isn’t always so much to blog about. Swim lessons are going very well. [...]
In Motion
Wednesday, July 7th, 2010I love to sit back and watch my children in motion. Each one is so unique and different. They all are getting exactly what they want out of a particular experience and yet not one is the same. There is Annie, often off on her own but playing right by everyone. She wants to be [...]
Allergy Alert
Sunday, July 4th, 2010When faced with a possible celiac diagnosis for Paul it was important for us to find out if Kimberly was allergic to tree nuts or just peanuts. (Almond flour is often substituted for all purpose flour in a celiac’s diet.) We had the nut panel done on her. The good news is she is not [...]
To the Top
Saturday, July 3rd, 2010Kimberly is an amazingly driven child. She works diligently on something until she masters it. At gymnastics last week she was bound and determined to make it to the tape on the rope. Low and behold she did it.
1st Day of Summer and a Chill
Monday, June 21st, 2010We got the group up and headed down to the beach. Despite the fact that it was the first day of summer, it was quite chilly down at the beach. Once there Bill set up our camp area and we started playing. Grammy brought a bag of toys and taught the kids how to play [...]
Beachy Keen
Sunday, June 20th, 2010This morning we woke up and had breakfast in the beach house. Grammy made waffles and I made eggs and bacon. We all ate our breakfast and then got ready to head down to the beach. With all our gear in hand we headed out. The beach was so nice and quiet when we arrived. [...]
Beignet Bonanza
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010The other morning Kimberly came up to me with the cookbook she received at her last birthday. When she had asked back in October if we could make some of the recipes I told her we would have time this summer. Of course she remembered and was ready to make Tiana’s Famous Beignets. She had [...]
Allergies a plenty
Monday, June 7th, 2010I guess with a family of 6 it is bound to happen that some of the people around here have allergies or issues. These aren’t things that define us but they are all things that affect us. It is not just the fact that we have to be gluten free now it is also the [...]
Last day of school 2010
Thursday, May 27th, 2010Today is Annie and Kimberly’s last day of Kindergarten. They will officially be graders and in twelve short years will be graduating. I know those twelve years are going to fly by just as this one has. Just look at these timid babies as they began their journey. and look at them now! There is [...]
Fund Raising
Wednesday, May 19th, 2010I finished the dishwasher tablet container a couple of weeks ago. The girls asked if they could have the container for crafts. Bill and I thought it would be a great place for them to collect bug in. (Annie and Paul have a serious obsession with collecting bugs.) The Girls had other ideas. Here is [...]
Daisy Wrap Up
Sunday, May 16th, 2010Saturday we had the final Daisy Girl Scout meeting. The Girls had chosen to go to Build a Bear for their reward for working hard throughout the year. We met at the mall and the girls had an enjoyable time creating a special stuffed animal. After the bears we went to the co-leaders home to [...]
